Located on the edge of Plaine Magnien, Mauritius, Empower is a top-notch sports complex that only latterly opened to the public. Being sports afficionados, my friends and I visited there to quench our curiosity soon after its grand opening. As anticipated, the place was jam-packed, but this is understandable as it is the first of its kind with cutting-edge facilities in the vicinity.
After poring over the introductory pamphlet, we finally decided to explore their multi-purpose sports hall. My first impression when I entered was determined by the sturdy, top-of-the-line polyurethane flooring which made quite a bouncy sound as we paced towards the ball shelf. It was equipped from top to bottom with arrays of balls for sports of all descriptions- from tennis to badminton, and basketball to netball.
From there, we made our way through the hallway right to the heart of Empower- TopFit Fitness Suite. As the name implies, TopFit is impressive in serving its role. Besides the high-quality exercise equipment and the commodious cycling studio, it was the effectual marriage of the lower body multi-gym and the upper body multi-gym that stood out for me. The lat pull-down system was versatile, not to mention the well-made, angled and thick pull-up bars that aids any user to perform pull-ups effortlessly.
I wholeheartedly recommend Empower Sports Complex to everybody out there. The plethora of facilities it has is incomparable to any other sports centre in the whole of Mauritius, so I am certain it is not going to disappoint you!
