Nostalgic: ESL email – Freebie 2

You recently spent an enjoyable weekend at a friend’s house. Write an email to your friends to say thank you for your stay. In your email you should:

thank your friend and say how you felt when you got home

describe what you enjoyed most about your day

invite your friend to stay with you and suggest some activities you might do together

Dear Mary,
I feel very nostalgic as you’re not here with me. It was a really memorable time in your city.

When I left you, tears were rolling on my cheeks. I didn’t have any words to express my feelings at that time. In nutshell, I left you without thanking. The trip was really awesome I can’t forget it. Your home was filled with joy as all the family members were there. We had a great time. It was touching to see my mom enjoying a trip like this, my eyes were stunned to see her playing water sports with us. The best of all was the dinner night. Playing truth or dare was out of the world. I must say your father is an expert in it.

I enjoyed a lot in your city. By the way, I was wondering if you could come and join us on the next holiday. I’m pleased to have you here as we can recreate the moments of childhood. We can play different sports and do studies together. The best part is, we can go for picnics. I know you’re mad about it.

Once again thank you for everything. I’ll be waiting for your reply.
