Your class recently went on a field trip to a nature reserve. Your teacher has now asked you to write a report about what you learned from the trip and suggest what improvements can be made.
Here are some comments from other students.
People should not be allowed to take food and beverage containers inside the reserve.
I was so pumped to see so many rare animals there.
There were so many people.
I learned so much about animal behaviour from the trip.
Write a report for your teacher.
The comments above may give you some ideas, and you can also use some ideas of your own.
Your report should be between 150 and 200 words long.
You will receive up to 8 marks for the content of your report, and up to 8 marks for the language used.
A Star Student’s Response
Introduction
This report aims to highlight what we learned from the trip to the nature reserve as well as to recommend the changes that could be implemented for the future.
The trip
The journey to the Bordex Nature Reserve was tranquil and scenic, and we arrived just as scheduled. In spite of the crowd of people there, we managed to study fascinating facts about some rare animals’ behaviour and other thought-provoking knowledge about their natural habitat. The vast majority of the students were stunned as they discovered the peculiar feeding habits of pandas. We all profoundly agreed that the trip will be a big boon for our biology lessons.
However, despite the academic advantages, I found the trip a bit haphazard. For one thing, the number of visitors and their voices at the nature reserve were utterly disturbing. Moreover, from my point of view, it is simply senseless to let outsiders take food items inside the sanctuary. Although people are not to be blamed for that matter, I firmly believe that we should follow those ethical rules as it is the mere truth that the animals inside the place require apt protection.
Recommendations
On the whole, I feel that advance booking should be made exclusively for us on the next trip. That way, the distractions could be reduced, thus helping us to fully concentrate on the trip. In addition, it is high time we pushed the nature reserved to enact strict policies for the visitors.
