Dear Lish,
You won’t believe what I did this weekend.
Jwala and I were on our way home from badminton practice, when I saw an envelope lying a few steps away from my home. You know how excited I’d be to check out what was inside. Believe it or not it was a free entry ticket to the Author’s Bookfair. As it was held in the heart of Madrid, which was a four-hour bus ride, I had a to nag a bit to convince mom to let me go with Jwala.
We stayed at a motel near City Square. The next morning, we got to The Grand City Hall in a flash. I don’t need to tell you how many books greeted us at the entrance! The hall was so packed I often felt squeezed between mighty hips! There were book corners, meet-the-author- stalls and grab-a-deal stores all over the venue. Authors from around the world were giving out autographed books! Jwala and I got the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child autographed by J.K Rowling – no kidding! You know I’m a die-hard fan of J.K Rowling’s works.
We enjoyed the event from the beginning to the end. It was the best days of my life. I saw several famous writers and I bought a couple of Sophie Kinseller’s novels for you! I know I sound nerdy but it was the best. We were so thrilled to actually meet the authors in person and getting some best sellers at a bargaining price was simply awesome.
