Family meals: a tradition worth in gold::

By Azman, Grade 10

Ever since the beginning of evolution human beings have been jeopardizing local cultures and traditions just for the sake of easiness. Throughout the journey of innovation one of the main traditions which is on the verge of being outdated is family meals. Some busy people fully contend with this change, however, in my opinion they do not know how catastrophic it might result to families as well as their children.

First of all, family meals elucidate the significance of bonding. It is an epitome of trust and love in the family. The children become more trusted while the elders are loved and respected. This not only makes well rounded child but also helps the elders to guide them. Ultimately the family grows stronger and the problems become vastly less. Hence, it is my firm belief that family meals help to build a better family.

Secondly, I tend to agree with the notion that more family members make way for the young members to learn about the manners while having a meal in such a way that people will recognise them as well-mannered children. This not only rounds up a better child but also enhances parents’ reputation for not creating malarkeys. This is undoubtedly better vis-à-vis having no family meals. Ergo, I believe that family meals should be encouraged.

To sum up, it is high time we brought the old yet, gold tradition of family meals back to our schedule not only because it makes a well-mannered child, but also as family members know the significance of bonding which will not be ephemeral but rather last for a long time.
