A Star Model Answer

Dear Alex,

It was so riveting to read about your trip to LA with Jenny. I’m really happy for you. Now let me tell you about something that’s sure to make you envious (Ms Foodie!). Yes, we held the International Food Evening at school last week.

As you know, we’ve been experimenting with different cuisines for months in Home Ec. Needless to say, I researched the recipes. Ms. Zee, our principal, put us in-charge and she entrusted me to come up with some novel dishes since I’m the class monitor. Not only did I put together the recipes, but I cooked as well. For the first time in my life, I actually felt useful with a spatula!

On the evening, the venue was teeming thirty minutes before it started. Well, who doesn’t like food? The tables were beautifully laid under twinkling lights (thanks to the boys). The sight and smell of familiar and bizarre dishes like gelato, kimichi, chicken tikka, and lamb chops made everyone drool. But the actual highlight of the evening was the paper bags we gave out. Why, you ask? Well, courtesy of the weird dishes, some people started throwing up no sooner had they tasted some dishes. It was part hilarious and embarrassing.

Overall, the event was a success. The huge crowd of people was indeed telling. Everyone applauded our efforts and the surprisingly, nothing was wasted. Everyone in our class got credits and Ms. Zee was practically walking on air. She even said that a Travel and Tourism trip to Paris is on the cards!

I’ve to rush now, but don’t forget to check out my latest posts. Bye.

Love,

Risala
